About

We are called to Stewardship as a way of life. A good Steward is one who:

Is grateful, thanking God daily for blessings received
Is responsible and accountable for God’s gifts
Shares God’s gifts generously
Makes a return to the Lord with increase.

Being a good steward really comes down to Praying, Serving and Giving.

In the context of living our lives as stewards of God’s gifts, giving means being generous with all of those gifts—talents, skills, knowledge, time, material goods and financial resources—really our whole lives.  Before we can make decisions about how we give of our lives, we need to ask ourselves a few important questions.

What Drives My Life?
Knowing your purpose in life simplifies your life and gives you the foundation on which you base decisions on allocating your time and your resources. Simply, our purpose in life is to do what God wills for us.

What are My Priorities?
We are in a constant struggle with our modern culture which, according to Matthew Kelly in Resdiscovering Catholicism, focuses on individualism, hedonism and materialism.  He says, “…these encourage us to do whatever we want, wherever we want, whenever we want.”  On the other hand, Jesus invites us to a life of discipline. He continues, “…when we give of ourselves to help others in their journey, we feel more fully alive emotionally.  Our actions flow naturally out of love and a burning desire to know God’s will for us.

If we answer these questions, our decisions on how we give of ourselves in all facets of our lives, will become much clearer.
