About

Speaking about God with Children

These sessions, offered quarterly, last a brisk hour (7:00-7:59pm).  A noted guide offers 35 minutes as an opening presentation, and then fields questions and dialogues with those in attendance.

Our inaugural session featured Ann Garrido, who teaches theology & ministry at Aquinas Institute in St. Louis.  Ann is author of Mustard Seed Preaching; wife, mother, & catechist/faith-guide to the young.

Her theme:  How do you answer the everyday and sometimes hard questions children ask about God?  Discover how to talk with children about God through simple & easy-to-use techniques!

UPCOMING SESSIONS in this SERIES:
How to Live Openly with Mental Illness -- Thursday Oct. 18, 2012
How to Deepen Your Spiritual Life -- Thursday Feb. 7, 2013
How to Thrive, Not Merely Survive -- To Be Announced (est. Fall 2013)

Sponsored jointly by SSPP offices of Pastoral Care, Adult Faith Formation, Youth Ministry, and Childhood & Family Life.

For more information, contact Shannon (618) 345-4343, Ext. 396.

Enjoy these three videos, brought to you by students of our Kindergarten (Miss Kerry LaDue, teacher) and First Grade (Miss Stephanie Fuller, teacher). For Catholic Schools Week, we wanted to find a compelling way for these young children to share a joyful message of hope and faith.
